FAQ: How do I setup Notes POP3 to work with a proxy server?

Setting up Notes POP3 to work with your proxy server is no different than setting up a regular POP3 email client like Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. Most proxy servers forward all Internet-bound requests transparently. No special consideration is needed for POP3 mail traffic.

Some proxy servers however require special consideration for every type of Internet requests (POP3 included). In these cases, follow your proxy server's documentation regarding the configuration of regular POP3 email clients.

If you are experiencing problems, test your proxy server using a regular POP3 email client like Outlook Express from the computer running Notes POP3.
